New 1990s cover scan

Photobucket Kaitou Saint Tail, published by Kodansha in 1996, has been added to the 1990s cover scans section. Check it out!

  1. I bought all of this series back when it was first released by Tokyopop! It helped start me on the path to the shoujo-manga lover I am now. Such an adorable series :D

I really like the ideas you've got going for this site and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have in store. Hooray for retro-shoujo! The only thing that kinda bugs me is every link I click on the site opens in a new window. (even when I clicked on the button to leave a comment on this entry!) Is there a way you can set links to open in the same window so readers don't end up with 5 pages open? Otherwise, I really like what I see here!

  2. Hello! I apologize for the multiple pop-ups, I think I finally managed to fix that :) You still might get pop-ups when you click on pictures, however.

I'm really happy you like the site, and I'm excited to add more cover scans and other fun stuff in the future!

  3. Yay! You're right, looks like links pop up in the same window now. Thanks for checking on that! Can't wait to see more!

please note

This site is meant to showcase the retro shoujo manga that I have in my collection. I own physical copies of these books, so if you are looking for a torrent or scanlation for them, I can't help you in that department. Sorry! Please buy your own copies - it's much more fun!

This site is for entertainment purposes only. I did not create any of these manga.

what is shoujo?

From the Wikipedia page: Shōjo, shojo, or shoujo manga (少女漫画 shōjo manga?) is manga marketed to a female audience roughly between the ages of 10 and 18. The name romanizes the Japanese 少女 (shōjo), literally "little girl". Shōjo manga covers many subjects in a variety of narrative and graphic styles, from historical drama to science fiction — often with a strong focus on human and romantic relationships and emotions.
